Step 1: Determine Your Diameter
Use our calculator below to find the correct pre-formed diameter (8", 12", or 15") for your specific plant.
Step 2: Determine Your Cut Height
Rigid Mesh is unique because you determine the height. Simply unroll the mesh and cut it with sturdy scissors based on the animal pressure in your area.

Installation Guide
1. Plant & Cut
Plant your seedling in a location with 6-8 hours of sun. Unroll the Rigid Mesh and cut to your desired height using sturdy scissors (e.g., 2ft for rabbits, 5-6ft for deer).
2. Stake It
Drive a Trunk Builder® Stake into the ground next to the seedling.
Crucial Step: Use two stakes for 12" and 15" diameter mesh to prevent rotation and collapse from wind or buck rub.
Cut with sturdy scissors or snips
3. Slide & Secure
Slide the pre-formed tube over the tree and stake(s). Align the reinforced "grip-strip" with the stake.
4. Fasten
Use Twist Lock® Soft Wire Ties to fasten the mesh to the stake every 2.5 feet.
