Plantra Tree Tubes – For successful establishment of broadleaf trees.Plantra Tree Tubes are the proven method to establish broadleaf trees the first time, every time the Plantra way – Survive – Thrive – Succeed!
Survive – Plantra Tree Tubes protect small, vulnerable seedling trees (and direct-planted acorns and nuts) from animal damage - Yes! You can put a 5ft Plantra Tree Tube over a tiny seedling!
Thrive – Plantra Tree Tubes accelerate growth by providing a mini-greenhouse environment that reduces moisture stress, channels growth into the main stem and roots and allows efficient control of weeds that can rob young seedlings of soil moisture and sunlight;
Succeed – Plantra Tree Tubes assure your plantings "make it" the first time and that you’ll have something to show for your efforts. No more lost plantings, no more lost seasons, no more wasted time and money – Plantra tree tubes are the difference between planting and the need to replant again and again and again.
Plantra Tree Tubes come in three distinct styles all with rugged twin-wall design and Plantra’s exclusive sunlight-optimizing Peach color:
1.
Plantra O-Style Tree Tube – The workhorse of Plantra’s line-up. Ships flat, pops open to a generous, leaf expanding 3.9 inch diameter, and installs quickly and easily with large tie holes for different staking options. The 5ft ("Deer Tube") and 4ft heights are vented to allow superior air exchange for efficient CO2 replenishment and assuring proper dormancy (hardening off) before winter even in the coldest climates.
2.
Plantra C-Style Tree Tube – Side-opening design for orchard tree establishment allows for easy removal after the seedling is trained-up. Maximum tube height of 3ft to allow for scaffold pruning in orchard plantings.
3.
Plantra Tubex Combi Tube – Combines a nested design (5 tubes per nest), the largest Tubex tube diameters made, pre-threaded ties, and all important venting for fast installation and operation in all climates no matter how cold. Available in 5ft and 4ft tube heights.
Plantra Tree Tubes are designed to last approximately 6-8 years. We recommend you leave them on until the trees reach approximately 3” diameter at the base… which will happen a lot faster than you think!
