Plantra® Fertilizer Packets

To keep your seedlings well-fed after planting we offer easy to use “slow-release” fertilizer packets that can be placed in the planting hole when your new seedlings go in the ground. The 30g “Booster Pak” with its 22-10-7 blend is specifically formulated for hardwood seedlings.
For conifer seedlings we recommend the 10g “RT Pak” 18-9-9-9 [S] mix.

 

Product Specifications

Directions:
Place fertilizer packets 1.5in to 2in apart from the seedling roots at a depth of 1.5in to 2.0in. Locating the Pak in an organic layer or next to the organic material can improve results.

Application Rates
Container-grown seedlings:
    1 Pak per plug up to 12in of plant height
    1 Pak for each additional 12in of plant height
Bare-root seedlings:
    1 Pak per seedling up to 18in of plant height 
    1 Pak for each additional 12in of plant height

Important Note
Seedlings that have been subjected to stress, show low vigor or those that could be expected to experience extended periods of drought during the first growing season should have the Pak placed approximately 2in below or to the side of the roots.
